Jules Bianchi è partito per la corsa più lunga: quella per l’Eternità
Il pilota francese di origini italiane è spirato la scorsa notte al Centre Hospitalier Universitaire di Nizza, dove era stato ricoverato dopo il ritorno dal Giappone. Il mondo del motorsport si stringe intorno alla famiglia
Nizza – Jules Bianchi è partito per la corsa più lunga: quella per l’Eternità. La sua battaglia terrena si è conclusa la scorsa notte alle 2.45, quando il 25enne pilota francese di origini italiane è spirato al Centre Hospitalier Universitaire di Nizza, dove era stato trasportato di ritorno dal Giappone per tentare una disperata cura delle lesioni cerebrali subite nell’impatto occorsogli durante il Gran Premio del Giappone, il 5 Ottobre dello scorso anno.
Sulle cause e la dinamica di quell’incidente vi invitiamo a leggere le nostre riflessioni di allora, oggi non ne abbiamo voglia: dobbiamo salutare questo ragazzo di 25 anni che allieterà da oggi il Grande Ingegnere e tutto il Paddock Celeste con le sue evoluzioni.
Questa notte, pochi minuti dopo il decesso, la famiglia Bianchi ha rilasciato su Facebook una dichiarazione lunga e appassionata: un segno preciso del fatto che la scomparsa era ormai un evento atteso e per il quale forse i familiari pregavano accadesse prima possibile, perché Jules fosse liberato per correre nell’Infinito Circuito del Cielo.
“È con profonda tristezza che i genitori di Jules Bianchi, Philippe e Christine, suo fratello Tom e sua sorella Mélanie, desiderano annunciare che Jules è morto la scorsa notte al Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) di Nizza”, riporta la nota della famiglia Bianchi, che ricorda come il pilota francese si sia “battuto fino alla fine, come ha sempre fatto, ma oggi la sua battaglia è finita”.
“Il dolore che proviamo è immenso e indescrivibile. Desideriamo ringraziare lo staff medico dell’ospedale che si è occupato di lui con amore e dedizione”, aggiunge la famiglia di Bianchi, che ha voluto ringraziare “anche il personale del centro medico generale nella prefettura di Mie in Giappone che si è occupato di Jules subito dopo l’incidente, così come tutti gli altri medici che sono stati coinvolti nelle cure per Jules nel corso degli ultimi mesi”.
“Inoltre, ringraziamo i colleghi, gli amici, i tifosi di Jules e tutti coloro che hanno dimostrato il loro affetto per lui in questi ultimi mesi. Ci hanno dato grande forza e aiutato nei momenti difficili – sottolinea la famiglia, che spiega come “l’ascolto e la lettura dei tanti messaggi ci hanno fatto capire quanto Jules avesse toccato i cuori e le menti di tante persone in tutto il mondo”
“Vorremmo chiedere infine che la nostra privacy sia rispettata in questo momento difficile”, conclude la nota della famiglia Bianchi, “mentre noi cerchiamo di affrontare la perdita di Jules”.
Immediato il cordoglio di tutto il motorsport, a partire dalla Ferrari, che annoverava lo sfortunato pilota tra i propri alfieri nella FDA, Ferrari Drive Academy.
“Tutta la Ferrari e i suoi tifosi si stringono alla famiglie di Jules, ai suoi genitori Philippe e Christine, a suo fratello Tom e a sua sorella Mélanie”, recita una nota stringata di Maranello, in cui è pubblicata anche una struggente foto (in basso).
Più tardi anche Maurizio Arrivabene ha affidato ai social la propria dichiarazione di vicinanza alla famiglia Bianchi. “”Quando si perde un ragazzo come Jules, il dolore e la tristezza vanno oltre il vuoto sportivo”, ha scritto il team principal del Cavallino Rampante, che poi ha espresso “sincere condoglianze alla famiglia” a proprio nome “e di tutta la GES.”
