Toronto Film Festival 2015, ecco il programma ricco di anteprime internazionali

Spesso anticamera dei prossimi film nominati agli Oscar, il Toronto Film Festival si svolgerà dal 10 al 20 settembre

Toronto – Da sempre considerato il palcoscenico ideale in cui poter fare incetta di film che concorreranno con tutta probabilità alla prossima stagione dei premi, il Toronto International Film Festival giunge alla sua 40ª edizione, in programma dal 10 al 20 Settembre prossimi.

Ad inaugurare la kermesse sarà Demolition, l’ultimo film di Jean-Marc Vallée con protagonisti Jake Gyllenhaal e Naomi Watts; proprio Gyllenhaal è attualmente sulla cresta dell’onda per via di una ben più che probabile nomination agli Academy Awards per la sua osannata interpretazione in Southpaw. Inoltre, lo rivedremo anche in Everest, film d’apertura alla 72ª Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia.

Tra i titoli del programma, spicca tra i più attesi Sopravvissuto – The Martian, kolossal fantascientifico diretto da Ridley Scott e avente per protagonista Matt Damon; il film è basato sull’omonimo romanzo di Andy Weir. Anche The Program di Stephen Frears sarà della partita: si tratta del biopic sull’ascesa e la caduta di Lance Armstrong, che avrà il volto di Ben Foster.

Nel corpus delle anteprime mondiali anche Eye in the Sky di Gavin Hood e Colonia di Florian Gallenberger, Desierto di Jonas Cuàron e l’ultima fatica di Michael Moore, ovvero Where to Invade Next.

Fuori dalla competizione ufficiale, ma presentati comunque in anteprima per il territorio nordamericano, The Danish Girl di Tom Hooper (che sarà a Venezia qualche giorno prima), Legend di Brian Hegeland, con Tom Hardy, che si sdoppia per dar vita ai gemelli Kray, e Youth – La giovinezza: il film di Paolo Sorrentino, presentato in anteprima all’ultimo festival di Cannes, avrà proprio a Toronto la sua premiere americana.

Fra i titoli aggiunti in extremis, spiccano il biopic sul cantautore country Hank Williams, I Saw The Light, con Tom Hiddleston, Truth, esordio alla regia dello sceneggiatore James Vanderbilt e Our Brand Is Crisis di David Gordon Green.
