Questo vale ancor di pi\u00f9 per le donne che curano la manicure con assiduit\u00e0. In questo caso scegliere <strong>una manicure low-cost<\/strong> pu\u00f2 <strong>rivelarsi un boomerang per le amanti di smalto, applicazioni e decorazioni per le unghie<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">L&#8217;allarme arriva dalla Gran Bretagna, dove la Bbc ha realizzato un documentario che testimonia quanto pu\u00f2 accadere a chi si affidi a centri estetici che offrono tip, ricostruzioni e smalto semipermanente a prezzi <strong>stracciati.<\/strong> In Gran Bretagna alcuni beauty center impiegano <strong>una potente sostanza chimica, il metilmetacrilato<\/strong>, bandito negli Stati Uniti ma non a Londra e nemmeno in Italia. Ne ha spiegato gli effetti il cosmetologo dell&#8217;Universit\u00e0 Cattolica Leonardo Celleno, in un colloquio con\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Adnkronos Salute<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\"><strong>Per avere un&#8217;idea del mercato che ruota attorno al sogno di mani impeccabili<\/strong>, \u00e8 sufficiente guardare i numeri. La <b>nail industry &#8211; la passione per le\u00a0<\/b><strong>unghie dipinte, elaborate o allungate<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; \u00e8, infatti, una passione che ha contagiato anche le italiane. I dati sul <strong>consumo degli smalti nel 2013,<\/strong> tratti dal <strong>Rapporto Annuale di Cosmetica Italia<\/strong>, mostrano una crescita dello 0,3 per cento rispetto al 2012, <strong>per un valore di vendite che supera di poco la soglia dei 130 mln di euro<\/strong>. Non male in tempi di crisi. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">Ma nel 2013 <strong>si sono in media abbassati i prezzi<\/strong>, nonostante sia aumentata la quantit\u00e0 di prodotti venduti. Visto che gli smalti pesano per il 54 per cento sul totale dei prodotti per le mani, se ne desume che <strong>\u00e8 possibile si sia abbassata la qualit\u00e0 dei prodotti<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">Un&#8217;altra ricerca svela, per esempio, che\u00a0<strong>le donne britanniche spendono in media 450 sterline l&#8217;anno per unghie perfette<\/strong>, ossia 37,5 sterline al mese.\u00a0Come detto, cercare di risparmiare pu\u00f2 per\u00f2 rivelarsi un boomerang. <strong>Lo testimonia la storia di Tacey Harrod<\/strong>, una parrucchiera che ha sfoggiato <strong>sulle unghie il gel acrilico per 10 anni<\/strong>, e ora mostra le tracce dell&#8217;uso di questa sostanza tossica per fissare il gel: <strong>unghie spezzate, sottilissime, danneggiate e pelle arrossata e screpolata<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">&#8220;<em>Le allergie possono causare problemi alla pelle intorno all&#8217;unghia<\/em> &#8211; ha avvertito sul &#8216;<em>Daily Mail<\/em>&#8216; <strong>David Orton<\/strong>, della <strong>British Association of Dermatologist<\/strong> &#8211; <em>ma anche problemi a livello delle unghie<\/em>&#8220;. Usando una telecamera nascosta, la <strong>Bbc ha scoperto che otto saloni su nove nell&#8217;East Midlands usavano<\/strong>\u00a0il\u00a0<strong>metilmetacrilato<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">&#8220;<em>Le cose per\u00f2 sono un po&#8217; diverse in Italia<\/em> &#8211; spiega il professor Celleno, della Cattolica &#8211; <em>\u00e8 vero che questa sostanza negli Usa \u00e8 vietata dagli anni &#8217;70, mentre da noi si pu\u00f2 usare. Ma noi abbiamo un regolamento molto stringente: ogni prodotto deve essere valutato per la sicurezza. Dunque il metilmetacrilato \u00e8 ammesso, ma in effetti in Italia \u00e8 usato molto poco, si impiega di pi\u00f9 il polimero di acrilato. E quando viene usato come colla, tocca l&#8217;unghia ma non la pelle<\/em>&#8220;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">&#8220;<em>Insomma<\/em> &#8211; spiega Celleno &#8211; <em>non \u00e8 un caso che finora non abbiamo visto danni da metilmetacrilato. Invece ne abbiamo visti molti legati <strong>all&#8217;uso continuo e intensivo di colle, lima abrasiva e solventi per applicare le unghie finte<\/strong>. Bisogna essere chiari: <strong>l&#8217;uso eccessivo di questi prodotti pu\u00f2 dare fastidio<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; color: #000080;\">E naturalmente il ricorso a <strong>versioni low cost o di dubbia origine<\/strong> \u00e8 da evitare assolutamente.
